5-Axis Heavy-Duty CNC Mill
The Mira J9 is a 5-axis simultaneous desktop CNC mill for machining plastic, hardwood, and metal. It carries a 15-tool automatic changer triggered by the M6 command, a pneumatic Nakanishi E3000 3060 AQC spindle rated to 60,000 RPM with ceramic bearings and under-1-micron runout, and a sealed 6-gallon coolant system. The working envelope is 4.0 × 4.0 × 5.0 inch with both rotary axes (A and B) running 360° continuously. Linear resolution is 0.3 microns; 16-bit absolute encoders on all axes; no measurable backlash. At 660 lb on a 36.6 × 28.7 inch footprint it runs on single-phase 110 or 220 VAC. Suited to long unattended runs.

5-Axis Jewelry CNC Mill
The Mira 6S is a 5-axis simultaneous desktop CNC mill built for jewelry wax milling. It mills wax models at 0.3-micron resolution — surfaces come off the machine fine enough to invest and cast without hand-finishing the wax. The Nakanishi NR-2351 spindle runs to 50,000 RPM with ceramic bearings and under-1-micron runout. Both rotary axes (A, B) turn 360° continuously at 300°/sec. JewelryCAM — the 5-axis CAM plugin for Rhino 3D — ships with every unit; no G-code to write. At 22 × 32 × 39 inch and 200 lb it draws roughly 1,000 W from standard wall power.

3 & 4-Axis Heavy-Duty Mill
The Elara 2 is a 3 or 4-axis heavy-duty desktop CNC mill. It runs the Nakanishi E3000 series — three spindle options to 60,000 RPM, ceramic bearings, runout under 1 micron — with an optional automatic tool changer. The X-axis table carries M5 threaded mounting holes on a 25 mm grid, with optional quick-release holders that repeat within 1 micron. Four standard configurations: 3-axis, 3-axis with ATC, 4-axis, and 4-axis with ATC. Working envelope up to 230 × 180 × 127 mm. Spindle power 350 W. Machines metal, stone, plastic, and wood — brass, steel, and titanium included. At 440 lb on a 33 × 22 inch footprint it runs on standard wall power.

3-Axis CNC Mini Lathe
The Lathe 3 is a 3-axis CNC lathe that turns bar stock into small, precise parts — watch components, jewelry, scientific instruments, rapid prototypes. Three axes: X (carriage), Z (spindle travel), and Y (gang tool height, tilted 45°). Gang tooling changes by carriage repositioning — fast and mechanically simple for small-diameter short parts. The headstock takes standard 5C collets (3 to 26 mm) plus a 4-inch three-jaw chuck; spindle speed up to 3,000 RPM. Linear resolution is 0.3 microns. At 32 × 30 × 30 inch and 286 lb it runs on standard wall power with a built-in computer and monitor.

The four machines cover different combinations of axis count, material capability, and workholding. The summary below points each application area to the relevant machine. Full specifications are on each machine page.
The Mira J9 machines plastic, hardwood, and metal across 5 simultaneous axes with a 15-tool changer. The Elara 2 covers 3- and 4-axis work with three E3000 spindle options and quick-release workholding. Both run from standard wall power on a benchtop footprint.
The Elara 2 runs cutters down to 5-micron diameter for watch components, microfluidics, and precision instrumentation — milling metal, stone, and plastic. The Lathe 3 complements it for turning bar stock. Paired, they form a complete in-house machining cell.
The Mira 6S mills jewelry wax at 0.3-micron resolution. JewelryCAM, included, builds the full 5-axis toolpath from your Rhino model — you orient the part and pick the strategy, no G-code required. To also machine metal settings, the Mira J9 handles both workflows.

NS CNC produces the Mira Bit — a solid carbide wax milling cutter built for the Mira series — and JewelryCAM, the 5-axis CAM plugin that ships with every Mira 6S.

The Mira Bit is a solid carbide tapered ball-end cutter built for 5-axis wax milling on Mira-series machines. Standard collet compatible with a 3.175 mm (1/8 inch) shank. Tip diameter 0.10 mm, 26 mm cutting length, runout under 1 micron — enough to cover full model depth in a single pass without a roughing stage. Manufactured in the United States. A finer variant, the Mira Bit X, carries a 0.07 mm tip for more detailed surface work.

JewelryCAM is a 5-axis CAM plugin for Rhino 3D, built for the Mira 6S. You orient the model and choose the strategy; it calculates the toolpath — rotary motion, tool orientation, depth passes — and posts it to the machine, with no G-code to write. Compatible with Matrix, RhinoGold, and RhinoJewel. The core engine is built on ModuleWorks 5-axis technology, written in C++. Version 3 is in active development. Ships with every Mira 6S; available as a standalone upgrade for existing owners.
