When a machine is returned to our Surrey facility, it undergoes full mechanical inspection, servicing, and calibration before resale — with a limited guarantee, terms confirmed per machine, and proper transport packaging.

We can connect buyers with current owners when machines are available.
Machines sold directly between users carry no NS CNC warranty. Ask for service history and current calibration records before purchasing.
Every factory-refurbished machine passes through the same Surrey facility that built it — a defined sequence from intake to export packaging.
The returned machine is inspected at the Surrey facility before any work begins, establishing a baseline condition report covering the mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic state of the machine as received.
The machine is disassembled to allow access to the drive components, spindle, electrical systems, and structural elements. Each subsystem is examined for wear, damage, or deviation from factory condition.
Any component that does not meet factory condition — through wear, damage, or age — is replaced. This includes drive components, seals, and any electrical or mechanical parts identified during inspection.
With replacement components installed, the machine is recalibrated against factory specification: axis positioning, spindle alignment, and drive parameters — the same calibration targets applied to new production machines.
Spindle runout is checked at the spindle nose with a test indicator. Axis backlash and positioning are confirmed against factory specification. The machine is not released until it meets spec.
Verified machines are packed in export-grade transport packaging for safe transit. Factory-refurbished machines ship worldwide, the same as new machines.
A full mechanical and electrical inspection — not a cosmetic clean. These are the systems checked and verified before a machine is released.
Measured at the spindle nose with a test indicator; must meet the factory specification of ≤ 1 μm.
Checked across all linear axes; NS CNC machines use ball screws and servomotors designed for low backlash, with no measurable backlash at verification.
Inspected for wear, play, and preload; replaced if not within factory condition.
Wiring, connectors, control hardware, and drive electronics examined for condition and function.
Lubrication points serviced and verified; contaminated or degraded lubricant replaced.
Enclosure, way covers, and seals inspected for wear or damage affecting ingress protection or chip management.
Coolant delivery components checked for blockages, wear, and correct function.
Mounting surfaces and workholding seats inspected for damage or wear that could affect accuracy.
What each path includes — and what it doesn't.

If verified condition and a limited guarantee matter, factory refurbished is the safer path over a direct user sale. If lead time or budget is the constraint, ask about current refurbished availability before defaulting to new.
There is no permanent used or refurbished inventory listing — availability changes as machines come in and are sold. Contact us and describe what you are looking for; we will tell you what is currently on hand or expected, and whether any current owners have expressed interest in selling.
Yes. The same factory specifications apply: spindle runout verified at ≤ 1 μm at the nose, axis backlash confirmed across all drives, positioning checked before release. A refurbished machine that does not meet factory spec does not leave the facility.
The guarantee applies to all factory-refurbished machines; the specific terms — coverage scope and duration — are confirmed per machine at the time of quote. Ask for these details in writing before completing a purchase.
Financing for machine purchases is available through NS CNC’s financing partner. Whether a specific refurbished machine qualifies follows the same process as a new purchase — ask at inquiry and we will confirm what options apply.
A direct user sale carries no NS CNC warranty, so due diligence is the buyer’s responsibility. Ask for the full service history, repair records, and the most recent calibration records. If calibration records are missing or out of date, factor in the cost of recalibration. The transaction is between buyer and seller.
Yes. Factory-refurbished machines are packed in export-grade transport packaging and ship worldwide, the same as new machines. Confirm shipping details and any import requirements for your location at the time of inquiry.
Some NS CNC owners sell independently — we can connect you when machines are available. No NS CNC warranty on direct sales.
Restored at our Surrey facility — inspected, confirmed against factory specification, worn components replaced, export packaging. Limited guarantee, terms per machine.
NS CNC machines are sold direct through the shop; equipment financing is available through our financing partner.
